IFTA Plus Offers Free IFTA Fuel Tax Preparation

In an effort to offset rising fuel prices, IFTA Plus announces a new "Refer-a-Friend" program starting July 1, 2008 allowing any company to get free IFTA fuel tax preparation through IFTA Plus's online software tools. For each referred and paying IFTA Plus customer, your company is credited $25, the cost of preparing a state return. There are no limits to the amount of non-expiring credits your company can accumulate.

"As transportation costs climb, truck drivers keep looking for savings in areas that were rarely considered when prices were cheaper." says Stuart Ludlow, founder of the 4-year-old Kansas City based AgilCor, the makers of IFTA Plus software. Ludlow continues, "We performed a customer satisfaction survey and a user asked if we could make the price of preparation $0. We actually laughed about it, but then thought, why not? Our software development process has always been driven by feedback from our users. In a way, we are just responding to another customer request."

This announcement comes just 60 days after AgilCor announced they will soon be offering free Driver Qualification, Fleet Maintenance, and Hours of Service transportation software for U.S. companies with fewer than 25 drivers.

Free Compliance Suite Hopes To Help Offset The High Cost Of Diesel

IFTA Plus to offer a free suite of compliance software tools, Compliance Plus, for small to medium trucking companies.

Drivers and owner-operators are struggling to fight rising fuel costs in a low-margin, highly competitive transportation market. Many companies are saving money by reducing overhead associated with expensive software relied upon to manage today´s complex compliance laws.

"We want small and medium trucking firms to enjoy access to software tools that big companies use, without the price tag," says Stuart Ludlow, founder of the 4-year-old Kansas City based IFTA Plus.

IFTA Plus currently offers trucking companies a secure software platform to quickly prepare state IFTA returns for $25. IFTA Plus announces a new pricing model for their existing compliance suite, Compliance Plus, already being used by large trucking companies to manage driver qualification files, fleet maintenance, hours of service, and fuel taxation. Starting on August 1st 2008, U.S. based companies with fewer than 25 drivers can use Compliance Plus free of charge. Companies are not obligated to use the existing tax preparation service.

"Our software development process is driven by feedback given by owners and drivers." Ludlow continues, "We are waiting for the end of the next IFTA filing period in July to allow companies the opportunity to provide suggestions and comments on what features they want to see."
